Sexual Assaults, Inadequate Healthcare Among Spate of Issues Facing Women Servicemembers
The rate of sexual assaults within the US military also exceeds that of the general population. A Pentagon report earlier this year found one in three female servicemembers are sexually assaulted at least once during their enlistment. Sixty-three percent of nearly 3,000 cases reported last year were rapes or aggravated assaults. Despite what some have called an epidemic of military sexual t… Continue

Thanks for the shout-out mark, I'm happy that everything went good with your surgery.
It's very encouraging and reinsuring that service's at V.A can make things right. I'm happy for you. Talk to you later.

Dear Mark,
Thanks for the welcome. You guys are doing a great job. It's almost enough to make me wish I were living in WI instead of NM. I'd just like to mention that I think the VA Hospital and staff in ALbuquerque, NM are fantastic. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in September, had my prostate removed in November, and I'm doing great. Since the condition's service-connected, having the operation didn't cost anything. With health care costs what they are today (and even worse tomorrow), that's a truly welcome benefit.

I'd be interested in joining a group. I'm not a vet, but I did sustain a severe head injury (TBI) some years ago and still deal with its issues.
